Ongoing Roles & Collaborative Teams
Care/Access Team 🫂
DESCRIPTION
- Support staff and members to meet needs for accessibility, inclusion, anti-oppression principles and transformative justice
EXPECTATIONS
- Team members should work collaboratively with the team to participate in any or all of the following:
- Monthly meetings
- Oversight consultation for events
- Providing peer support for conflicts or questions
- Create trainings or materials

Content Team 📰
DESCRIPTION
- Possible Ways to Contribute include:
- Write for the weekly TL;DR newsletter
- Write/create/edit other materials such as social media posts, press releases, or messaging
- Be able to reflect NAA’s Metanarrative (sorta like a messaging guide) and participate in annual Metanarrative updates
- Collect news articles to cover in the TL;DR newsletter
- Add TL;DR newsletter to website blog weekly
- Make website updates
EXPECTATIONS
- Depending on interests and availability, you’d be invited to:
- Join weekly content team meeting Mondays at 5ET
- Join weekly newsletter workblock Tuesdays at 5ET
- Join a Signal group to plan content or discuss weekly news content
- Support chapters and national with occasional writing or content needs.

Welcome Team 🤝
DESCRIPTION
- Call new NAA members to welcome/thank them and answer any questions they have
- No prior knowledge or experience required, training and reference materials will be provided
EXPECTATIONS
- 6-10 hrs per month, fewer after September
- Join us on zoom Weds 6-8ET to make calls with others or call in your own time

Fundraising Team 💸
DESCRIPTION
- Our Fundraising Team, led by a dedicated board member, will be a vibrant group of NAA members across various time zones working together to sustain and grow Never Again Action’s mission. Beginning in late fall 2025, this team will collaborate on essential projects like:

- Acknowledgments: calling donors, with email or postcard outreach in the future
- Research: identifying individuals and foundations who might support our work
- Donors & foundations: cultivating relationships and writing grant proposals
- Events: planning house parties, virtual donor briefings, and more
EXPECTATIONS
- Members can join virtual work sessions to collaborate in real time or participate asynchronously as their schedule allows. Whether you love writing, research, connecting with people, or planning events, there’s a place for you on the team!

Rapid Response Action Hour Team ⚡
DESCRIPTION
- Help coordinate virtual meetings where we host members to take digital actions to respond to breaking news. This could include some but not all of the following roles:

- Political Education writing
- Creating Advocacy Tools
- Facilitation
EXPECTATIONS
- Short bursts of fast-paced planning. Have flexibility and willingness to pitch in at a moment’s notice.
- Openness to try new things and learn new skills.
- Action Hours would happen no more than once a month.

Volunteer Signal Loops
Data Ninjas 📈
DESCRIPTION
Data Volunteers assist as available based on an individual’s skills:
- Support digital security makeover
- Assist with database clean up, reporting/analysis, improving data systems
- Hold a Zoom tech role during meetings
- Assist with research for campaigns or other tasks related to information gathering or analysis
EXPECTATIONS
- There is no time commitment, some may be involved in quick tasks or long-term ongoing projects.
- Join a Signal group where we’ll post occasional requests for support
- You’ll be expected to practice a high standard for digital security.

Graphics Wizards 🖼️
DESCRIPTION
- Create beautiful social media graphics or other visual content and artwork
EXPECTATIONS
- Join a Signal group where we will occasionally share needs related to graphics and offer to help if you’re available
- You are welcome to proactively pitch or create content or artwork
- No need to have professional experience, but you should feel prepared to visually express information within the lane of our values, voice, tone and metanarrative

- Subject Line: Graphics Wizards
- 1-3 sentences about how graphics & art can either positively influence or negatively impact people and our movements.
- 1-3 samples of graphics you’ve created
Ayudantes de Traducción (Translators) 🌐
DESCRIPTION
- Translate occasional written materials only** into Spanish or other languages.
**We always hire spoken interpreters when needed.
EXPECTATIONS
- Join a Signal group where we’ll occasionally post an ask for written translations (no longer than 1-3 pages)
- Anyone available to translate or review a draft translation within the timeframe requested can offer to help or collaborate with another translator.
- Non-native speakers are encouraged to take on these projects. You should have advanced (sometimes called 'operational proficiency') Spanish writing skills and please be transparent about your level of language ability.
- We do NOT use machine translations (like Ai or Google Translate)
